Trust & Security

This page is maintained by the TradeAlert team to answer common security and privacy questions about TradeAlert. It describes the controls and practices that are currently in place. It is editable project content, not an independent audit or certification.

Account access & authentication

Sign-in uses email and password with an email verification code on signup. Sessions are managed by our authentication provider and are stored only in your browser.

We never see or store your password in plaintext. You can sign out at any time from inside the app.

Platform & hosting

TradeAlert runs on managed cloud infrastructure provided by Lovable Cloud. Application code is delivered over HTTPS, and database access is gated by row-level security rules so that each user can only read and write their own records.

Lovable Cloud provides the underlying platform capabilities; it does not certify this page or the app's broader compliance posture.

Data we collect & how it is used

We collect the information you provide when you create an account (such as your email address) and the trading-related data you choose to add inside the app. We use this data to operate the product, show it back to you, and improve reliability.

We do not sell your personal data.

Subprocessors & integrations

We rely on a small set of vendors to run the service, including our managed backend and database provider, our email delivery provider for transactional messages (such as the verification code), and the optional broker and market data integrations that you explicitly connect.

Connectors only run when you enable them, and you can disconnect them at any time.

Cookies & analytics

We use cookies and local storage strictly to keep you signed in and to remember UI preferences. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.

Retention & deletion

Your account data is kept while your account is active. If you want your account and associated data deleted, contact us using the address below and we will action the request.

Privacy requests

To request a copy of your data, correct it, or delete it, email the address in the contact section below from the email tied to your account.

Security & vulnerability reporting

If you believe you have found a security issue in TradeAlert, please report it to the security contact below with steps to reproduce. Please do not publicly disclose the issue until we have had a chance to investigate and respond.
